hubHub does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It has no user account, no analytics, and no server of its own.
What hubHub does
hubHub reads the download, issue, star, fork, and watcher counts of your own GitHub repositories and shows how they changed since the last time it looked. It is a viewer. It does not change anything in your GitHub account.
Data we collect
None. The developer receives no data from this app: not repository counts, not repository names, not identifiers, not crash reports, not analytics. There is no hubHub account to create and no hubHub server to send anything to.
Data stored on your device
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your GitHub personal access token | iPhone Keychain, this device only | To read your repositories' counts. It is never synced or backed up to another device. |
| The history of your counts | The app's own storage on the iPhone | To show changes since the previous snapshot and draw the charts, and to work offline. |
| A history file you import from the Alfred workflow, if you choose to | Merged into the history above | To start the charts with the history you already have. |
| Display preferences | The app's own storage on the iPhone | Which counts to show and how to sort the list. |
All of it is removed when you delete the app.
Network connections
hubHub connects only to GitHub, over HTTPS, carrying your own token as authorization:
api.github.com: your repositories and their counts
Links to a repository or its issues page open in Safari, and only when you tap them. There are no other network calls: no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks, no telemetry endpoints. How GitHub handles those requests is governed by GitHub's own privacy statement.
Tracking
hubHub does not track you. It does not use the Advertising Identifier, does not build a profile, and shares nothing with data brokers or advertisers.
Children
hubHub is a developer utility with no social features and no user-generated content. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date.
